Terms & Conditions

Use DeDuck with confidence.

The practical terms for using DeDuck, buying a license, and keeping control of your own files.

Using DeDuck

DeDuck helps you scan, understand, report on, and organize files on your own devices. You are responsible for choosing which folders to scan and which cleanup actions to approve.

Plain English: DeDuck is designed to show you what is safe to tidy, but you stay in charge of every action that changes files.

Local files and cleanup actions

  • Scanning and duplicate detection are read-only by default.
  • Actions such as moving files, deleting files, or creating organized copies require your approval.
  • You should keep a backup of important files before making large cleanup changes.

Licenses and purchases

Paid plans unlock local app features for the covered devices and update window described at purchase. License activation may require a first-time internet connection and occasional checks, with offline use supported after activation.

Optional services

Optional cloud connectors or hosted services may have separate requirements, prices, and service terms. You can use DeDuck's local features without enabling those optional services.

Support and responsible use

We aim to provide practical support for installation, licensing, reports, and cleanup workflows. Please do not use DeDuck to access, copy, or organize files you do not have the right to manage.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as DeDuck evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page.
